In a way, The World’s Largest Pool, is beautiful. But at the same time, it’s depressing. I can think of very few things more refreshing and simultaneously invigorating than to take a swim in a real ocean. And I have never been in an ocean as blue an inviting as those of the Chilean coast. So, while this giant pool is certainly beautiful, it makes me sad that enough people would choose to swim in it over the ocean to warrant its construction in the first place.
If you’re going to build a pool like that, why not do it some place more than 30 feet from a real ocean? Like, say, Dallas, TX?
